How to make a good video with whatever equipment you have

  • Always try to keep the subject of your piece in the center of the frame.
  • As a general rule, the more light the better. If something is shot outdoors during the day, it will usually have good lighting. If you are shooting indoors, especially at night, have many lights on and maybe bring some lamps into the room to increase the brightness.
  • If audio is a component of your movie, make sure it is recorded at a good volume, but not so loud that it distorts. Make sure that the people in your movie express themselves clearly so that they can be properly heard.
  • The higher the quality of your camera, the better, however it is always first about content for us!
